Terms & Conditions

Accommodation & Tours
These terms and conditions apply to all accommodation & tours made available by The Fraser Island Company. By making a booking for accommodation or tour, you warrant that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them subject to such changes as are notified from time to time. If the booking for accommodation &/or a tour is made through a third party, the terms and conditions of that third party also apply.

General Terms
Where indicated, minimum stay conditions apply to accommodation options. The Fraser Island Company will endeavour to provide the accommodation and tour but reserves the right to refuse requests for bookings or actual bookings due to insufficient or excessive numbers of requests. All accommodation is subject to availability. All tours are subject to availability, minimum participation requirements & prevailing conditions at the time of operation. A tour may be cancelled up to the time of departure if it is the opinion of the tour operator that weather or any other conditions are such that it would be unsafe to conduct the tour. A full refund will be applicable in this event. For all self drive packages to Fraser Island additional costs associated with the bond, collision damage reduction & permit fees apply.

Booking Policy
All accommodation and tour bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation by provision of credit card details. By providing credit card details you warrant that you have the authority to use the credit card and you authorise The Fraser Island Company to charge the cost of your booking to the credit card.

The liability of The Fraser Island Company arising from any cancellations of accommodation or tour bookings by The Fraser Island Company or a third party tour operator is limited to the amount paid for the cancelled booking.

Tour Itineraries
All tour itineraries are subject to change either before or during tour operation. No refund or any part thereof will be refunded in the event of any change to a tour itinerary.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees for accommodation are as follows:

HIGH SEASON:
- 30 days or more prior to arrival: Nil
- less than 30days prior to arrival: contract rate for 1 night per room cancelled.

LOW SEASON:
- 14 days or more prior to arrival: Nil
- less than 14days prior to arrival: contract rate for 1 night per room cancelled

Cancellation fees for tours are as follows:
- 24 hours or more prior to scheduled tour start time: Nil
- less than 24hours prior to scheduled tour start time: full ticket price of tour booked.

Cancellation fees for Self-Drive packages are as follows:
- a minimum 72hours notice is required to cancel a booking or a 100% charge will apply.

No refund will be given for any unused services or non-arrival.
Cancellations must be made by notifying The Fraser Island Reservations Centre 1800 063 933 between the hours of 7am and 7pm 7 days a week.

Additional Person
Accommodation rates apply to existing bedding.
Additional persons will be charged at the rate of $10 per person per night.

Tour Child Rates
The following Tour Child Rates apply:
Day Tour 0 to 3 years
4 to 14 years
no charge

Exclusive Tour 0 to 3 years
4 to 14 years

applicable child rate
2 Day Tour 0 to 14 years applicable child rate
3 Day Tour 0 to 14 years applicable child rate

Child Safety Policy
One Day Tours - children under 4 years must travel in an appropriate car/booster seat.
Passengers may bring their own or hire one for an additional $10 (pay direct). Bookings essential.

Accommodated Tours - children under 4 years must travel in an appropriate car/booster seat.
These are complimentary & provided upon request. Bookings are essential.
Accommodated tours are not recommended for children under 8 years of age.

Privacy
The Fraser Island Company is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information
that you provide.

Your personal information is primarily used for the purpose of booking accommodation or a tour with us or responding to your request. We will only disclose your personal information if it is necessary for the purpose of providing the products or services you request or complying with our legal obligations.

We will give you the opportunity to access the personal information we may hold about you and, where necessary, correct any errors in this information (some restrictions and cost may apply).
